Coach Alison
Coach Alison O’Brien is a certified run coach who has been helping marathon runners and walkers make their dreams a reality for 10 years. She has completed many different marathons, triathlons and cycling rides which helped to inspire her to start JWalking Designs. Jwalking Designs produces premium running skirts and running kilts that are good looking but more importantly functional for the serious runner.
Coach Greg
Coach Greg is a RRCA Certified & USATF Certified Coach who has helped thousands of runners cross their finish lines for many years including helping several people finally qualify for Boston and many more first time runners finish their marathons. He wishes he was a gold medalist runner or a college track star because it is awesome to run fast and win races but Coach Greg has never come in first place on a race unless you count a few pub crawls to celebrate finishing another marathon. Coach Greg has asthma and takes a bunch of medicine to keep breathing. A funny thing happens when your lungs function significantly less than all of your fast friends but you really love running – you learn how to run smarter than others.
Coach Greg enjoys reading boring scientific research studies to figure out how to gain the best performance in the most efficient manner so he and his participants can maximize their running potential. As much as Coach Greg loves to research, he loves it even better to actually test out and experience training concepts. He has completed countless races including many different marathons across the USA. He has experience running many marathons, using run/walk intervals on marathons and even speedwalking an entire marathon. Coach Greg has even experimented with some of the wackier aspects of running like the beer mile run. He can empower you to reach a new PR for your race or help you enjoy the most out of your next race.
